ENVIRONMENT

We are highly involved in the community where we conduct our activities, and we are concerned about the environmental impact these activities may cause.

Some of the actions we perform are:

  •  Constant fleet renewal: the average age of our vehicles is 3 – 4 years and 100% have Euro 6 engines.

  • The company inspects various points to verify effective fuel consumption and, consequently, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

  • Qualification programme: Our drivers are instructed in efficient vehicle operation and techniques for reducing fuel consumption. This instruction is imparted by the Master Driver chauffeurs of Villart Logistic.

  • Membership in the Operation Clean Sweep initiative. Implementation of good practices in cleaning and monitoring plastic micro pellets, in all operations where the company handles pellets, to minimise leaks into the environment and prevent them from reaching the aquatic environment.

From the environmental assessment of 2022, the most significant environmental aspects considered by Villart Logistic are:

We have an action plan to control these impacts.

    Operation Clean Sweep (OCS)

Villart Logistic is committed to environmental protection and, as part of this commitment, we strive to prevent the loss of pellet and plastic during the transport and handling of goods.

    To guarantee this commitment:

      • We are members of the OCS initiative

      • We disseminate the procedure among our workers

      • We promote qualification and awareness in this matter to prevent accidental spills and, if an accident were to occur, to ensure all workers are instructed on how to reduce its impact.

Situación de partida: se hace una observación de los servicios realizados en 2022:

      • 33,797.8 tonnes of pellet have been transported

      • 7 incidents were detected.

      • All pellet was effectively recovered as the broken bags were detected in the unloading facilities, where it was successfully recovered and managed.

OCS indicators to conduct follow-up in order to assess improvement after applying the implemented measures. Results 2022:
